It is located
in the town of Cambará do Sul, in the state of Rio Grande
do Sul. Among its main attractions are the Itaimbezinho Canyon,
with rocky walls which are almost 700 m high. It extends over 5,800
meters and reaches 2,000 meters wide, being the largest canyon in
South America. The vegetation covering the 10,250 hectares-area
is basically formed by Brazilian Pine Tree Forest and Atlantic Forest.
The landscape of the park is a result of several teutonic, volcanic,
and erosive processes which occurred in a large area of south Brazil.

Geral National Park
Inside
Serra Geral National Park there is the Fortaleza Canyon, which looks
like a fortress. Tigre Preto Waterfall and Pedra do Segredo, a beautiful
stone formation, are not to be missed. Another wonderful canyon inside
this park is Malacara Canyon, quite a walk from the Fortaleza Canyon.

magnificent waterfalls can be found among ecological trails.
